That would be the portfolio module I just completed — we were challenged to design the opposite of what we usually create. I went with a menswear collection for Autumn/Winter, mixing eventwear with ski wear, grounded in strong references like Casablanca and design motifs centered around collars. It let me experiment with layering, outerwear, and sport-luxury aesthetics while still incorporating my love of detail and fabric.

My final collection was inspired by 1950s Old Hollywood glamour, with a romantic, cinematic feel. I used a lot of silks, satins, and chiffons to evoke elegance and softness, while also playing with silhouette and drape. It was a celebration of timeless femininity with a modern edge.

Both! While I’ve naturally leaned toward womenswear, I’ve really enjoyed pushing myself in menswear too. One of my favourite recent projects involved designing a menswear Autumn/Winter collection that fused eventwear and ski wear, inspired by collars, my identity as a designer, and brands like Casablanca. It gave me the chance to explore tailoring, texture, and silhouette in a completely new way.
